The Role

As an Assistant Administrative Sales professional at Absa, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional sales support services that drive business growth and enhance customer satisfaction across our diverse African markets. What You'll Do

  • Execute predefined sales support objectives according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent service delivery
  • Handle all customer enquiries professionally and efficiently, serving as a primary point of contact for sales-related queries
  • Manage service level agreements and ensure delivery according to set standards and timelines
  • Facilitate deal processing and customer interactions throughout the sales cycle
  • Administer contracts and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with various internal departments to resolve customer issues and expedite sales processes
  • Maintain comprehensive records of customer interactions, sales activities, and administrative tasks
  • Support relationship managers with client presentations, proposals, and sales materials preparation
  • Monitor and report on sales metrics, customer satisfaction levels, and process improvements
  • Assist in onboarding new clients and ensuring smooth transition processes
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide administrative support for sales campaigns and promotional activities

What We're Looking For

  • Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation and data
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Basic understanding of banking products and services
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
  • Fluency in English and at least one other South African language preferred

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in banking, financial services, or sales support roles
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and sales tracking tools
  • Experience with contract administration or document management systems
  • Understanding of South African banking regulations and compliance requirements
  • Additional qualifications in sales, marketing, or customer service
