Clerk Inventory

Responsibilities

Inventory Control

• Ensure stock count plan is executed at National, Divisional and Ad Hoc levels
• Ensure Exit management control
• Ensure Dormancy, Obsolesce and Overstock controls
• Analyse discrepancies in postings and advise Store management on corrective actions
• Ensure stock movement processes are followed (Shop Use, RTC, Inter department transfers and Waste)

Merchandising Management

• Print and analyse daily and weekly stock reports (In-store category review, negative stock as a result of GapScan)
• Confirm availability of stock by location for Dormant, Obsolete and Exit stocks
• Report deviations on merchandise standards and admin to Inventory manager
• Report non-compliance on Inventory movement process to Inventory manager

Requirements

• Grade 12
• 2–3 years retail experience (added advantage)
• Ability to communicate in English
• Must be able to pass given assessments at the required level
• Must be successful in competency based interviews
• Must be flexible and willing to be transferred between stores
