Position Summary
Position/Task Grade: Q12. Area of specialization: To identify and manage any risks which could cause loss of health, life, equipment, product, environmental or money within the company. Department: Substations Business Unit: Construction Services. Contract: 24 months fixed term contract.

Requirements
- National Diploma in Safety Management or Environmental Management/Health (NQF5)
- Preferable Mechanical/Electrical or Civil Engineering time served apprenticeships
- Valid driver's license
- 3 years' experience in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering and plant equipment
- 3 years' experience in Safety; Occupational health and environmental field as a safety officer
- Must be able to demonstrate technical/functional expertise
- Interpersonal skills – strong persuasion and influencing skills
- Leadership skills
- Presentation skills
- High level of both verbal and non-verbal communication skills in English
- Customer Care
- Professional Registration with SACPCMP
- Safety, Health and Environmental Management knowledge including legal compliance audit, knowledge of Health and Safety legislation OHS Act 85 of 1993, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001
- Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite
