Purpose
To plan, design and maintain the holistic Enterprise Architecture (EA) Services view of business, data, ICT applications/systems, Technology, including ICT Digital Transformation/ICT Digitization Strategies and ensure ICT System implementation/integration conforms with the holistic architecture.
Responsibilities
- Develop ICT Digitization/Digital strategies, roadmaps and plans to support organisation business strategy
- Anticipate future business needs and plan for how digitalization will support/enable it
- Develop and maintain enterprise architecture reference models and ensure conformance thereto
- Streamline business processes, functions, procedures and workflows and apply a consistent implementation approach
- Manage stakeholders' engagements in the development of new processes and systems and verifies feasibility
- Analyse business requirements and develop ICT solution design and technical specifications to guide the acquisition (buy or build)
- Evaluate the impact of changes within the ecosystem of the organisation (including political, technical, social, regulatory, legal)
- Participate in Programmes/projects management to ensure EA service delivery commitments
Requirements
Minimum 3-Year National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering (at least NQF level 6 or verified/certified alternative equivalent at NQF Level 6). Certificate in TOGAF will be an added advantage.
6–7 years' experience in the ICT field, of which a minimum of 2 years in Enterprise Architecture (business, data, application, technology architecture) or ICT Systems architecture. The ICT field may include ICT Governance, ICT Strategy and Planning, Enterprise Architecture, ICT Consulting, systems development, ICT infrastructure development, ICT procurement, ICT operations/service delivery of integrated ICT systems/solutions across multiple hardware and software platforms, in a corporate or public sector organisation.
Knowledge of: ICT Governance, Enterprise Architecture tools and methods, Human Resource Management, Financial Management, ICT Procurement practices, ICT Security, ICT Standards, Legislative environment and IT Legislation, Application development tools and methods, e-Government, Broadband/Network, Cloud Computing, Commercial and Open-Source technology products.
